DIGITAL AND MATERIAL CHILDREN'S LIBRARY

The historical building where SEYAKMER Digital and Material Children's Library serves was donated to Kuşadası Municipality by teacher Sevil Altaş and her daughter Meltem Günaydın, who lived in Kuşadası. SEYAKMER Digital and Material Children's Library, which was restored in cooperation with Aydın Investment Monitoring and Coordination Directorate (YİKOB); It is carried out with a joint protocol established with Kuşadası Municipality and Kuşadası Education and Development Foundation (KEGEV). SEYAKMER Digital and Material children's library, which was put into service on August 26, 2020, provides membership and printed material loan book services to children and young people up to the age of 18.

The Dewey Decimal Classification System, in accordance with international standards, is used to catalog the books in our material library. Books are grouped according to their subjects, the subjects are defined with numerical expressions and colored labels; The shelves are sorted according to a hierarchical numerical order. Books with their imprints are uploaded to www.kutuphane.kusadasi.bel.tr simultaneously, and readers can see the imprints of the books and scan the catalog from the system.

In SEYAKMER Digital and Material Children's Library, in addition to printed material books, we have a digital book (e-book) application for the residents of Kuşadası district and our visitors coming for tourism purposes. Readers can activate the digital book application by downloading it free of charge from the IOS and Android application markets under the name Kuşadası SEYAKMER Library.

Citizens residing in Kuşadası district of T.R. They can log in with their ID number. Our guest users are; They can benefit from the service by filling out the membership form. Within the application; There are a total of 25,000 adult and children's books, both foreign and Turkish, belonging to 35 different categories. Books are updated periodically.

In addition to the librarianship services of the Digital and Material Children's Library at SEYAKMER, within the scope of the Learning by Doing/Experiencing Activities; Workshops are organized. Students are encouraged to participate in workshops in coordination with the schools in our district.
