KUSADASI MUNICIPALITY ALWAYS STANDS BY WOMEN PRODUCERS.
Acting Mayor Tahsin Demirtaş visited the stalls set up in the town’s busy areas by Kuşadası Municipality—where women can sell the products they have made to contribute to their household finances—and inspected the sites in person. During the field visit, which was also attended by members of the municipal council, Deputy Mayor Tahsin Demirtaş stated;
“We will continue the projects implemented by our Mayor, Ömer Günel, without compromising on social municipalism.”
The initiatives in the field of social municipal services launched by Mayor Ömer Günel—who has brought numerous projects for women to the town since taking office—are being meticulously continued by Kuşadası Municipality. As part of this, Acting Mayor Tahsin Demirtaş visited the areas where women set up stalls and stands to sell the handcrafted products they have painstakingly produced, thereby generating income. Acting Mayor Tahsin Demirtaş was accompanied by members of the municipal council during his field visit. In the first part of the tour Acting Mayor Demirtaş visited Kasım Yaman Arkeo Park, where he received information from officials at the Municipal Police Department regarding the stalls that have been set up there and are due to open shortly. The delegation then went to Atatürk Square to inspect the locations where other stalls would be set up. The stalls and stands, which will feature a wide range of products from jewellery and household goods to textiles, accessories and souvenirs, will once again be a lifeline for the women of Kuşadası during the new tourism season.

Acting Mayor Tahsin Demirtaş stated that Kuşadası Municipality will resolutely continue to implement Mayor Ömer Günel's social municipalism policies, saying;
“First of all, our Mayor Ömer Günel is someone who believes that labour is the highest value. He also attaches great importance and value to women participating in production and being involved in economic life. We will continue the projects which our Mayor Ömer Günel has implemented for women without compromising on social municipalism. Kuşadası Municipality will always stand by the working women who produce.”
