KUSADASI MUNICIPALITY'S DAVUTLAR CAT STERILIZATION CENTRE PROVIDES HOPE TO THOUSANDS OF ANIMALS
Kuşadası’s stray animal are under the wings of the municipality. The Davutlar Cat Sterilization Centre, implemented by the Municipal Veterinary Works Departments improves the quality of life of street animals and offers an exemplary service model throughout the city. The centre, which provides completely free services, carries out comprehensive work to ensure that the stray animals live a healthy, safe, and long life in the city.
The centre, which carries out intensive sterilization activities especially to keep the stray animal population under control, also provides first aid to injured, sick, or stray animals in need of assistance. The teams also provide support to wild animals when necessary, and after treatment, they coordinate with relevant institutions and organizations to ensure that these animals are transported to safe areas.
The Davutlar Cat Sterilization Centre, which has become an important part of Kuşadası Municipality's animal-friendly approach, has achieved remarkable figures since its opening. To date, a total of 1160 sterilization procedures have been performed at the centre, and thousands of animals have benefited from 1327 inpatient treatments.
Equipped with modern equipment and a team of expert veterinarians, the centre not only provides treatment and care services but also contributes to raising awareness and love for animals in the community.
