THEY WILL SWIM 38.5 KILOMETERS FOR MARITIME AND CABOTAGE FESTIVAL IN KUŞADASI

The swimming event organized in cooperation with Kuşadası Municipality and Kuşadası City Council for the Maritime and Cabotage Day celebrations in Kuşadası has begun. In the event, which will last for six days, master swimmers will swim a total of 38.5 kilometres along the coastline from Dilek Peninsula National Park to Pamucak Beach.
On the first day of the event organized to draw attention to the rights gained at sea with the acceptance of the Cabotage Law, members of the Kuşadası Master Swimmers Group started from Karasu Bay in the Dilek Peninsula National Park and swam approximately 8 kilometres. During the event, the swimmers were accompanied by Coast Guard teams for safety reasons. The swimming event, which will end at the starting point of Pamucak Beach, will continue with the Güzelçamlı-Sevgi Beach stage on Thursday (tomorrow).
Nalan Şeremetlioğlu, who attended the event, said;
“First of all, I want to say that I am very happy. Because July 1st Maritime and Cabotage Day is of great importance for our country. In addition, it is the responsibility of all of us to protect the seas, keep them clean and teach our youth the love of the sea.”
